Sports and Sports Premium Funding

Sports and Sports Premium

Our pupils have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of sports and inter-school sporting competitions.  We are proud to have achieved the School Games Platinum Standard, awarded to just a handful of schools across West Sussex for their commitment to sports.    Our facilities include a sports arena, large playing field and hard surface netball court.

Swimming and Water Safety

The school has a Year 6 cohort and has reported the following swimming and water safety attainment levels for the current academic year:

  • 74% of pupils can swim competently, confidently, and proficiently over a distance of at least 25 metres.

  • 68% of pupils can use a range of strokes effectively (e.g., front crawl, backstroke, and breaststroke).

  • 66% of pupils can perform safe self-rescue in different water-based situations.

The spending has had a positive impact on swimming and water safety attainment.
